  • Experiential Learning

It's important to give our students opportunities to take their learning out of the classroom and into the Austin community and the world at large.
Day trips, local, and international travel experiences are thoughtfully designed to integrate with the IB curriculum at each grade level and stage in life.

Experiential field trips begin as early as preschool! Students take a "field trip" around the preschool campus to learn how we organize ourselves by using directions and signage for transportation. Beginning in 3rd grade, students have the choice to participate in off campus, overnight, and international trips like these:
  • 6th Grade - Washington, D.C.
  • 7th Grade - Spanish Exchange Program
  • All Secondary School Retreat
  • 8th Grade - 9-Day Spain Trip
  • 9th Grade - Costa Rica
  • 10th Grade - Latin America
  • 11th Grade - European exchange program
  • 12th Grade - Culminating overseas exploration
