All About Cats

Some people are considered dog people. Some are more into bunnies. I am into cats! Cats are one of the most popular pets on the planet. And they are fantastic.

Cats can come in all different shapes and sizes. There are Persian cats, calico cats, and tabby cats…. you get the idea. Anyhow, cats and cats can rarely land anywhere but their paws. No, that is not some wicked magic. And don't get me started on the nine lives thing. That's fake.

Cats are everywhere, from snow leopards on icy mountaintops to stealthy caracals in scorching savannas. Many feral cats live alone in the shadows, stalking their prey in the open field like cheetahs. Others, like lions and lionesses, work as a team to hunt.

Domestic cats live in houses or farms and are constantly praised and nurtured by humans. Feral cats are cats who aren't domesticated. They live in the wild, hunting for themselves or in groups. Feral cats usually hunt livestock, while domestic cats usually eat cat food produced in stores and factories.

Why do cats love boxes so much? I’m sure we all wonder about it, and we have said those exact words to your mom, dad, older sister, brother, or whoever. The reason is that cats have a mental likeness to small spaces like drawers, closets, and cardboard boxes! And like my favorite podcast (Flip and Mozi’s guide to how to be an earthling) said: “Cats only have to make two choices in life: Do I want to play with this very expensive toy that my human just bought me, or do I want to sit in this cardboard box?”

Thank you to all those cat lovers out there who, little by little, change the world for cats every day. And whether you’re a you are a dog person, if you’re more into bunnies, or if you’re into cats, thank you for reading!
