Tyler Odom

Tyler Odom was born and raised in Texas. He earned his undergraduate degree at Texas State University where he also played for the universityÕs lacrosse team. A few years after graduating, he moved to Austria where he met his wife and set out on a path to explore, live, work, and study abroad. He earned his masterÕs degree from Keele University in the United Kingdom and played for the Austrian National Lacrosse Team at the 2010 MenÕs Lacrosse World Cup held in Manchester, England. Tyler has been in education for over 15 years and has taught internationally for the majority of his career. After teaching at schools in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, he moved back to central Texas where he most recently worked at an IB school in the Austin area. His ultimate goal as a teacher is to provide students with a balanced and reflective approach to learning and to craft authentic and goal-oriented opportunities for them to learn. Tyler enjoys being active as much as he likes relaxing. Above all, he enjoys spending his free time with his two young sons, sharing his passions with them, and seeing this world through their young eyes.
